This short video is as intriguing as it is terrifying, actually. Someone dubbed over a little gameplay of the original Super Mario Bros. game with realistic sound effects that you’d actually hear if someone were getting chomped by a Goomba or climbing down a pipe.

It actually makes me appreciate the simple platform-game sound effects more than ever. Not everything needs to suffer the curse of realism!
